  • Málaga airport has most car hire companies represented.
  • Some companies are based in the terminal building and you can collect the vehicles directly from their welcome desks. Other companies provide mini-bus airport transfer to their depots
Car Directions
  • Google Map Link
  • From Málaga airport: leave the airport and join the A-7 motorway following the signs to Algeciras and Cádiz.
  • Stay on the A-7 for about 20 kilometres (12 miles), following the signs to Fuengirola.
  • Eventually, you will arrive at the Fuengirola IPV Hotel but you will be driving on the wrong side of the motorway to turn directly into the hotel.
  • Therefore you will have to continue along the motorway exit at junction 1020.
  • Drive up and around the roundabout and back over the motorway so that you can finally rejoin the A-7
  • Then drive until you reach the hotel exit.

  • Additional parking can be found next to the hotel on the Castle side at Parking Castillo Fuengirola
Train

Tourist Information

Discover Fuengirola – So Much More Than a Convention!

Located in the heart of the Costa del Sol, Fuengirola is one of the region’s most loved seaside towns — a perfect mix of history, relaxation, and adventure.

Just a short walk from the convention hotel, you’ll find the Sohail Castle, a 10th-century fortress overlooking the sea. The town itself blends ancient roots with a lively modern vibe, once a fishing village, now a favourite destination for travellers from around the world.

Stroll the beautiful promenade, explore local tapas bars, or unwind in a café with Churros con Chocolate. Whether you're up for shopping, beach days, or cultural trips, Fuengirola has it all. The nearby train makes it easy to explore Málaga, Benalmádena, and Torremolinos in no time.

For the active visitor, there’s a 5km coastal path ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling — leading all the way to the sand dunes of Cabopino. And if sports are your thing, the Costa del Sol offers world-class golf, tennis, padel, and more.
